Safety & Technical Information.

All Roper Rhodes shower valves have been independently test to the most rigorous safety standards.

TMV2 - The Safe Choice

TMV stands for thermostatic mixing valves which are a safeguard against accidental scalding. TMV2 is the standard for domestic use. You can be assured tht your Roper Rhodes valve has been engineered to the highest manufacturing standards, as all of Roper Rhodes valves have been certified by the TMV2 scheme for domestic showers. Extensive mechanical testing is carried out independently by Build Cert, a Notified Certification Body, who test for compliance with the TMV scheme.

Scald Prevention

Sudden changes in hot or cold water supply can lead to injury through scalding or shock. The patented thermostatic cartridge within all Roper Rhodes valves maintains the selected temperature during showering so tht with a sudden loss of either the hot or cold water pressure the shower valve will automatically shut down, therefore reducing the risk of injury.

Thermostatic Showering

All Roper Rhodes shower valves are thermostatic, allowing you to set your chosen maximum temperature.

Accurate Temperature Control

Showering with water that is too hot can cause scaldingt. To ensure the temperature of the water in maintained at a safe level the thermostatic cartridge continuously monitors and adjusts the mixed water temperature to within 1.5 degree C, ensuring a comfortable and safe showering experience.

Maximum Temperature

To guarantee that the valve temperature cannot exceed the safe temperature of 44 degree C, the temperature control is fitted with a safety stop mechanism.

Endurance

All shower valves are put through the most rigorous testing procedure to ensure you can enjoy continuous showering for years to come. Such is Roper Rhodes confidence in the quality of the shower that they offer a 10 year guarantee when you purchase these products.

Suitability

All Roper Rhodes showers are suitable for use with all plumbing systems.

Shower Operating Pressures

We recommend 0.1 bar up to 5 bar with concealed inline valves, and up to 4 bar with concealed and exposed valves. A minimum of 1.5 bar pressure is recommended with the triple inline valve.

Chrome Plating

Repeated and extensive polishing operations followed by the highest standards in chrome plating ensure that Roper Rhodes showers will stay looking good for many years to come.

WRAS approval

All Roper Rhodes showers are WRAS approved in accordance with the Water Regulations Advisory Scheme. The approvals process requires that all showers use safe materials.
