Cathy Hyland told us:
Excellent Service - Just to let you know that I received my order yesterday. I.d like to thank you very much for your excellent service - from placing my order, I was kept fully informed at each step of the process and the whole transaction was turned around in 48 hours. I could not have asked for more!

Dennis Gwynne told us:
Hi, I would like to pass on my thanks for your excellent customer service in relation to a replacement Star Led bathroom mirror. In this day and age it was a real pleasure to receive such service and I think it is only right that it is recognised and put in black and white. Once again please pass on my thanks to the lady who resolved this issue and to the speed in which she responded. I will have no hesitation in recommending you to my family/friends and when my next bathroom is ready for renewal your company will be my first port of call...

HIB Innovation - The Rechargable LED Bathroom Mirror

HiB has introduced a major solution for illuminated bathroom mirrors – three new LED designs powered by a long-life re-chargeable battery pack. Illuminated mirrors are now a high demand item but fitting them into existing bathrooms and cloakrooms comes with one overriding problem – how to access a power source. This would require a fully qualified electrician who may have to remove tiles, disrupt the wall finish and leave a bill anywhere in between £200 to £300, in addition to the cost of the actual mirror. The new HiB designs have a 6-cell rechargeable pack with a 30 – 35 hour life under normal circumstances. It then simply slides out of a discreet slot in the side of the mirror and can be swiftly recharged using a remote unit that is included with the mirror. Apart from the convenience in being able to buy the mirror and hang it almost anywhere in the bathroom within minutes (along with those all-important cost savings), there is also an environmental consideration. hibrechargableledbathroommirrorbatterypack

HiB’s new mirrors contribute significantly to energy conservation by having very low energy but high illumination LED bulbs. And the advanced Ni-Mh batteries can be recharged up to 1,000 times, so avoid the wasteful and contaminating disposal of one-use disposable batteries.

VADO Donate £1000 to BIBIC

One of our brassware suppliers - Vado has just donated £1000 to the British Institute for Brain Injured Children. For the last few years VADO, like many other companies, has decided against sending Christmas cards to customers, staff and suppliers and instead donated the equivalent cost of the cards and postage to a worthwhile cause.

BIBIC was nominated by Vado's IT Manager, Paul Simpson, who is pictured handing the cheque to Janet Cook, Jess Winchester and Linda Cunnington from BIBIC.

The money donated by Vado will be used to buy a touch screen computer, which is highly appropriate given that BIBIC was the IT Manager's choice!

"I am honoured to hand the cheque over on Vado's behalf," said Paul at the time. "Knowing our donation will give a child who is unable to write or communicate, the freedom to share stories and jokes with their family and friends is incredible."

Jamie's Farm engages young people from challenging backgrounds who are at risk of social exclusion. This is achieved through a unique combination of a family atmosphere and strong therapeutic element, set within a farming environment. We provide an intensive experience of living and working in a family-oriented farming community, with a particular focus on success and positive praise. Groups of up to 10 young people stay on the farm for 5 days, where they are supported by a high ratio of trained adults.

Jamie’s Farm provides opportunities for achievement and reflection and helps the young people to transfer their learning about themselves and others, through successful engagement with farm activities, to their own lives in urban areas. Jamie’s Farm is a traditional mixed working farm which is enriched by young people becoming involved in the farming process.
