• Chroming strength has passed a 200 hour salt spray test.
• Individually air tested to 16 bar - no residual water/moisture remains inside the rail which eliminates internal rusting.
• Fully automated chroming to eliminate acids and chemicals infiltrating the rail causing internal rusting and giving optimum chrome strength.
• Fully welded ends to the 'D' profile giving extra tapping strength and reducing the potential for pinholes.
• 1.2mm horizontal bars with greatly increased weld strength.
• All white and coloured rails are sandblasted prior to painting giving additional paint strength.
• All painted rails are painted using AKZO NOBEL paints, one of the worlds leading manufacturers of high quality paints.

The Environment

No copper plating is used in the production of any Abacus chrome towel rails and radiators, avoiding by-products harmful to the environment.

Heat Output

Although similar in appearance to its chrome counterpart, high polished stainless steel towel rails and radiators offer an increased heat output over chrome radiators.

Corrosion Resistance

Stainless steel has a high resistance to corrosion. It can resist corrosion from many acids, alkaline solutions and chloride bearing elements, even at elevated temperatures and pressures.

Resistance to Extreme Temperatures

Stainless Steel has ability to withstand extreme temperature fluctuation, it resists scaling and maintains its strength even at very high temperatures.

Product Heating Options

Dual Fuel kits offer the ability to heat your rail when your central heating is switched off i.e. in summertime (supplied with a chrome T Piece).

Electric Only means that your radiator is controlled by an electric switch which can be turned on/off as required.

	Standard Element With a standard heating element the wattage of the element is matched according to the size fo the radiator. It will then heat the liquid inside the radiator and the heat is dispersed by the surface area of the radiator. It has the protection of a thermal 'cut out' should the element become too hot, however there is no control of the radiator or the room temperature.
	Regulator Element The regulator element has an on/off button and also a dial to adjust the surface temperature of the radiator to the desired level. Note: These elements should not be installed within 1.2m of any bath/shower or wet area.
	Thermostatic Element The thermostatic element has an on/off button, a 2 hour boost button, and also a thermostatic dial to enable you to control the room temperature. It is also available in a silver finish to complement chrome or polished stainless steel radiators. Note: These elements should not be installed within 1.2m of any bath/shower or wet area.
	Infra-Red Element The infra-red element comprises of a controller and a receiver unit. The controller has a digital thermostat for easy setting and display of the ambient room temperature. It has 3 pre-set drying cycles and can operate within 10m of the receiver.

Note: Any electrical items fitted in a bathroom should be installed by a qualified electrician to current IEE Regulations.
